Essentially the design in a Patola are based on traditional motifs called "Bhat". These designs include "Narikunj", "paan", "Chowkdi", "Raas", "Chhabdi", "Choktha", "Navratana", "Paanchphul", "Sarvariya", "Laheriya" etc.
